An exercise in Information design, the data plot is a compilation of 38 years of raw economic data pertaining to stagflation. Being given severe spacial limitations, 3"x3.5", and lots of information to include, the form needed to allow for both quick glance macro understanding and more in-depth, detailed analysis. The solution is a series of circles, one for each year divided by quarters. GDP is represented by teal, inflation by red, white space is created at the center of the circle where they overlap. Black signifies a negative value.
